The Conclusion But Not The End

Sunday we concluded our series by looking at the story of Jesus. But it's far from the end of the story.

Jesus is not the end of one story and the beginning of another, but the continuation of a story that reaches beyond the pages of the bible and into our lives today. Jesus is not the end of something old and the beginning of something new.

There are over 300 prophecies in the Old Testament about a Messiah who would restore our broken relationship with God. Jesus fulfilled every one of them. On the surface that doesn't seem to say much. But studies have shown that, without a divine intervention, it would be mathematically impossible for one person to fulfill just eight of them. Jesus Christ didn't just fulfill 8; he fulfilled all 300.

So as the story of Jesus unfolds, we see that Jesus is the fulfillment of God's promise to all mankind.

The part of the story that catches us off guard is, whether we realize it or not, we are part of the story. We don't get to choose to be or not to be a part of the story - we just are!

Have you discovered your place in it yet? If not check out the message from Sunday.
