Advent Conspiracy is built around four tenets. The first is to WORSHIP FULLY.
Worship is so much more than singing a few songs – in fact much of what we call worship isn’t worship at all – because when we do it it’s more about how it makes us feel than the way it makes God feel.
True worship may not always leave us “feeling good.” True worship means doing whatever God ask you to do!
It's like the tweet from Mark Batterson I saw the other day - "If YOUR worship depends on how YOU'RE doing spiritually, YOU might be worshipping YOUR righteousness, not God and His righteousness."
Worship is not an event and it’s more than just a single act!
Worship is about the way we live our lives in response to what God did for us through Jesus Christ.
If we only worship by singing but then don’t worship with our tithes and offerings or we don’t worship by sharing our faith with others , or we don’t worship by inviting others to come with us on Sunday morning – we are not fully worshipping God!
When it comes to worship we don’t get to pick and choose which ways we will worship. True worship is about being fully in with our time, talents and resources!
Take the shepherds when they found out what had happen they left it all for the one thing that mattered most.
Worship became a way of life not just a single event they participated in – they were fully in!
Christmas marks the moment where God's promise was fulfilled and love took form, tiny fingers and all. It is a moment that deserves our full attention and praise.
Advent Conspiracy puts Worship Fully as the first tenet because they believe, and I agree, that the level of our peace at Christmas is based entirely on how much we are celebrating Christ's birth.
Christ deserves full worship – not just partial worship! Full worship is that which includes complete obedience and full surrender.

When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. Luke 2:15-20

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:1-2
In order to experience a different kind of Christmas we must first worship fully!
