What Are You Reading

We often read books about the Bible. I want to encourage you to not just read books about the books of the Bible, but to actually read books of the Bible as well.

The last two years I set a goal to read the Bible from start to finish. For someone who's not a reader, that was a huge task. But I did it and it was so worth it. It was the first thing I did almost every morning. I can't put into words how much I grew to enjoy it.

This year I'm going to take a little different approach: I'm going to read through the New Testament. Lanette and I have mapped out a plan that we're going to follow together. Basically it's a chapter a day, five days a week.

I'd like to invite you to read along with us. I promise it will impact your life in positive way. Don't read it to understand everything. Read it to enjoy it and just see what happens!

We started in the book of James. It only has 5 chapters so you have time to catch up before we move on to another book next week. Pick it up and read with us. Let me know if you are up for the adventure - this will be fun!

I will let you know what the next book is Sunday...

Let this verse be our prayer as we read the books of the Bible - not just books about books of the Bible!

Psalm 119:18 - Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.

Watch for my "verse of the day" each day based on Psalm 119 on Facebook and Twitter.
